The 2016 Richmond Entrepreneurs Conference will again bring you a series of invaluable business seminar sessions led by entrepreneurs from the Chamber of Commerce Forums. The speaker line-up includes business directors and owners from a broad spectrum of industries, who have been there, done it and can share their experiences and pathways to success.

Norman Jackson, JFP Strategic Planning  &  Sunningdale Corporate Finance Limited

Norman’s Big Company experience was with Ernst & Young, Scottish & Newcastle and seven years overseas with Mobil Oil. For the last thirty years he has been Richmond based working with the owners of small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) as an Advisor, Mentor, Non-Executive Director and Corporate Financier, advising over 1,000 businesses in the process. He is currently a Partner in JFP Strategic Planning, a Director of Sunningdale Corporate Finance Limited, a Director of the rugby club, London Scottish and facilitates Group Mentoring sessions for the Richmond Chamber of Commerce.

Sophie Wright, Wright CFO

Sophie Wright, owner of WrightCFO Ltd, is a Finance Director Consultant providing strategic financial insight to small to medium sized businesses so that they can make better business decisions. She has nearly 20 years’ experience working in marketing and advertising, digital media and tech industries, from start-ups to global corporations, in London and New York. She is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants, the Association of Accounting Technicians and has a Bachelor of Arts in philosophy and sociology.  Canadian born and raised, Sophie has resided in the UK for the last 18 years.

Patricia Bacon, Patricia Bacon Consulting

Patricia is an internationally experienced Board and Executive Director with over 25 years’ experience working at a commercial and strategic business level. Patricia Bacon Consulting was established to ‘effect business growth’ for companies that want to scale. So, how does she make a difference? She coaches Company owners to ensure they are working ‘on’ the business rather than ‘in’ it and develop their growth strategy – where the Sales Engine is at its heart. Prior to starting her own business Patricia’s career included senior roles at The Instant Group where she was integral in running and building the business internationally and securing PE investment. Previous roles included The Henley Centre (part of WPP), The McWilliams Partnership, Swiss Bank Corporation and Nissan Europe in Amsterdam.

Simon Morden, Prosell Learning Ltd

Simon Morden is Chairman/CEO of Prosell Learning Ltd. He is responsible for strategy, business development and alliance development in the group. Simon joined Prosell in 1990 as a Senior Partner and became Chairman in 2001. Prior to joining Prosell, he ran his own cleaning business in 1978 whilst studying at University. Simon then worked in Xerox in both field and contact centre roles, becoming Xerox Training Manager in 1982. Following this, he then became a Manager in 1984 running direct and indirect sales and service channel teams. In 1985, Simon joined Prosell as a co owner. At Prosell, Simon’s focus is working with his alliance partners and directors on developing a global training company focused on delivering a return on investment to their customers.
Simon holds a BSc Honours in Business and Politics. He enjoys theatre, cinema, art, very real ale, cycling, rugby, football and cricket and is married with two children.

Alan Rides, UKTI

Alan has 30 years export experience, working for large PLC’s and a small trading company driving EU/MENAS/Asia sales growth from $1m to $143m, winning the Queens Export Award. Alan lives in Richmond and now works for UKTI helping UK SME’s and Medium size companies expand their sales in new developing markets.

Ann Chapman, Minesoft Ltd

Ann Chapman-Daniel has specialised in International Marketing & Sales her entire career, graduating in Business Studies & German and working subsequently for International Thomson (now Thomson Reuters), Ziff Davies Publishing Inc and France Telecom Group SA. Travelling widely and establishing Offices plus many Agents in the UK and abroad, Ann finally founded her own company with her husband. They won the Queen’s Award for Enterprise in 2009 and again in 2015 for an outstanding achievement in international trade.

Maria Grigorova, Mars Inc

Maria Grigorova has worked for Mars Inc for almost 20 years. She is currently the Global Marketing Talent and Learning Director. In this role she is responsible for building the Marketing capabilities, excellence and talent across the business. The last few years have been a real breakthrough in the Marketing practices and beliefs in the business, primarily driven through the learning and development solutions as part of the Curriculum that brought into the business leading edge thinking partnering with top academic institutions around the world. A lot of these hugely exciting and challenging concepts required a great amount of translation into relevant tools, models and processes. Being in the heart of these changes gave Maria the experience and perspective to lead this transformation in the Marketing function (including areas like creative development, archetypal branding, media, shopper understanding, etc) translating the insights from the outside academic world into practical applied key beliefs, tools and models in the everyday business context. Today, these beliefs and practices have been acknowledged throughout the business across all the functions as the first signature Mars Inc business model for growth. Maria currently lives with her daughter in London, which she considers her home.
