The Kickstart Scheme is a £2 billion fund to create hundreds of thousands of high quality 6-month work placements for young people aged 16-24, who are claiming Universal Credit and Richmond Chamber of Commerce RCC is coordinating Richmond Borough employers to deliver this important programme with Richmond upon Thames College RUTC.
Businesses of all sizes looking to create quality jobs for young people can apply to create new 6-month job placements for young people who are currently on Universal Credit and at risk of long-term unemployment. The job placements should support the participants to develop the skills and experience they need to find work after completing the scheme.
The pandemic has caused disruption to many businesses and individuals, who, through no fault of their own, find themselves without meaningful employment.
Any business looking to create fewer than 30 Kickstart placements, please complete the online form below, uploading all the details about the placements using your registered business or charity name, address and other details. Richmond Chamber of Commerce and Richmond upon Thames College are collating employers’ placement opportunities in the Borough of Richmond Upon Thames, providing the wraparound training for our young people for £1,500 per placement and for every 30 applications received, applying to the government on your behalf.
