In the meantime, as promised, here are a few comments that you may be able to use for a press release regarding Scent and Profusion:
Six months ago we set up a new florist in Twickenham, called Scent. It is a very competitive market but, fortunately for us and unfortunately for the competition, one of the other florists in the town had to close.
We had not worked with the Richmond Chamber of Commerce before, but they approached us to ask if we would be interested in absorbing the operations of our competitor – even though we weren’t a member.
As a result, we have now bought out a large number of contracts, and secured some of their ‘front door’ business as well, to the extent that our sales levels are nearly double what they were before.
Thanks to the intervention of the Chamber of Commerce, in 6 weeks we have achieved what would have taken us at least 6 months to achieve on our own.
Not only that but, because the deal was brokered by the Chamber of Commerce, both sides had confidence that a fair deal was being done.
We are extremely pleased with the results of the negotiations, and very grateful that the Chamber of Commerce has taken such a proactive role, and behaved in such a professional manner.
We will definitely be joining the Chamber of Commerce and look forward to becoming even more active in building our business in the local community.
